Sketchcrawl 25 happened this past Saturday. Though it got freakin cold toward the end, it was a good time. It was great to see all the results from the end of the day. Also, I got a chance to paint with the North Bay Plein Air painters group. The paint sketch was a challenge because there would be pockets of beautiful light on the hills one minute, then there would be this dull, cold feel on the hill. Ah, the complexities of outdoor painting!

Hello! It feels good to be posting again. Thanks to all who made it out to A.P.E. It was good to see fellow artists and old friends there. I'll definitely do it again next year. Alternative Press Expo

Hey! A couple of fellow artists and I will be at the Alternative Press Expo on October 17th and 18th. APE is being held at the Concourse Exhibition Center in good ole San Francisco. Hey there! Here's some more sketches out of the small book. I have been experimenting with gel mediums, spray fixitive, gouache, and the occasional snippets of junk mail. I'm trying to keep it loose and alive on these. I hope you enjoy these sketches as much as I did making them!

Howdy! The latest crawl was in the Presidio yesterday. It was great to see people sketching all over the area. All these sketches were done on a small moleskine sketchbook.

Here's an oil sketch that I did after work last week. Painted on a 6"x8" cheapo canvas panel. Just got some good Raymar panels, so more to come!

Here are a couple of oil paintings, done within the past few weeks. The first one was done at Lake Merced in San Francisco with my friend Cameron Chun. The panoramic panel was done last week at China Camp in Marin County.
